Welcome my non exams chums,
WOO-HOO EXAMS ARE OVER....O.V.E.R.
I am writing this blog post whilst experiencing a weird change in my life, it is happening right this second. I no longer have that moaning, groaning voice in the back of my head nagging me for the duration of what seemed like eternity to revise. For me a top procrastinator it was a constant and demeaning voice that always interrupted my day. After three long years yesterday that voice was put to rest.
Forever, (it know seems), i have been revising for my exams even when i have had that couple of month gap between my modular exam i have still, in the back of my revision crammed mind had that voice "why are you not revising?" "do you want to fail your exams? do you? do YOU?" so i have never been able to properly rest as it were but now my time has come for those splendid 12 weeks of doing everything to my own accord, no "holiday project" or "summer revision" just one leisurely day after another.
At the beginning of my main block of exams i was really pumped up for revision; producing timetables, writing neatly, sticking to designated time slots but towards the end i was shattered, physically and mentally drained,i couldn't care less if i thought i had failed i just wanted it to be summer. So on results day there may be some unnecessary grades that could have been better but hey there is nothing i can do nor say to change them now. Nothing at all.
some revision tips;
1) Listen to classical relaxing music while revising it helps to calm you down and improves your memory and concentration levels. I did in fact listen to www.classicfm.com through out all of my revision and i genuinely think it helped me a lot.
2)Store all your revision to the end of your exam so you can see how much revising you have done, it help bring out the best cathartic experience known to human kind.
3)Revise in Black biro ink, it helps with your concentration and the formality of the revision.
I will not miss those retched exam hall, lined with chairs and wobbley desks that have been in the common room since the 1970's or something ridiculous like that! Or the people that fill those chairs; constant coughing, sneezing or sniffing up their snot. yuck.
So now as usual i have ran out of things to say and it has yet again become slightly awkward. I do aim to write a blog post every day of the holiday so stay tuned folks.
Adios :)
